Student Attendance
Students enrolled in the Mountain Education Charter High School are
encouraged to attend classes on a consistent basis. Regular attendance is
crucial for successful completion of courses in an individualized, self-paced
curriculum. Any student under 16 years of age is required to attend a minimum
of 20 hours per week. Prior to enrollment, students and parents/guardians will
meet with administrative staff to review attendance procedures. Full Time
students must officially withdraw from the Mountain Education Charter High
School in order for their school records to be transferred to another school.
Compulsory Attendance Laws: § 20-2-690.1 Mandatory education for all
children between the ages of six and 16.
