Dr. Wayne Lovell


C. Wayne Lovell is presently the superintendent for Mountain Education Charter High School. With over 20 years of experience working with at-risk student populations, Dr. Lovell has a well-documented record of exceptional leadership and strategic vision. Dr. Lovell holds a Ph.D. from The University of Southern Mississippi and a M.Div. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to his role in the charter school sector, Dr. Lovell is also a chaplain in the Georgia Army National Guard.



Assistant Superintendent
Mr. Tracy Sanford


Tracy Sanford has served in a variety positions during his tenure in education from teacher, athletic director, principal, special education director, personnel director and currently assistant superintendent. Mr. Sanford holds a Educational Specialist degree from Clemson University in Administration and Supervision. Mr. Sanford is responsible for Site Operations, Development, Disciplinary Proceedings and Safety. Mr. Sanford has served on the Georgia High School Executive Committee and currently serves on the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals Board of Directors as the Charter Representative.

Mrs. Aundrea Wilson


​Aundrea Wilson has been involved in education for over 23 years serving as a teacher, Federal Programs Director, Personnel Director, Curriculum Director and currently Assistant Superintendent. Mrs. Wilson holds an Education Specialist degree from Valdosta State University. Mrs. Wilson is responsible for Accountability, Student Services, Testing, Business Operations, and Personnel.

Mr. Larry Shook


Larry Shook has been in education for over 32 years serving as a teacher, Vocational Director, Personnel Director, and currently serving as Assistant Superintendent.  Mr. Shook holds an Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Administration and Supervision. Mr. Shook is responsible for Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Federal Programs and Special Education.
